Our Mining Tours

In 1960, our owner's grandfather, Ed Sprague met his grandmother, Ellen. The couple arrived in Julian in 1967. They learned about our property through their various real estate transactions, and saw the abandoned claims that were on the property. Fortunately for us, they had the vision and knowledge to open the Old Hardrock Tunnels, restoring them to the way they were in the 1870s. They did this to share our state's history.
